Halley Cianfarini, LMSW
Hello! Congratulations on being here and taking steps toward your self-care and well-being. Therapy can be a place to find support, get to know yourself better, and to explore new perspectives.
My style is warm, client centered, and empathic. With my background in the performing arts, I have always been interested in human stories and connecting deeply with others.
A graduate of Hunter College, I have experience working with adolescents to older adults. I work in a relational style that draws from Psychodynamic traditions, and I also draw from Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Most importantly, I try to create an environment in which you feel comfortable and safe to explore and process anything and everything.
I bring a wealth of skills in mind-body self-regulation, developed in ten years of teaching mindful movement. These include breathwork, body awareness practices, and meditation, and can be incorporated into sessions if you like. I am especially interested in the way our emotional lives inhabit our physical bodies. Reach out today for a free 15 minute consultation.
More: In my free time, I enjoy hiking, seeing theater, and exploring art galleries.
